If you\u2019re looking to build your career in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where you can make a real impact, this could be the role for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The role<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As an Accounts Assistant \u2013 Purchase Ledger, you will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy, control and efficiency of the purchase ledger within a high-volume, fast-paced finance environment. Supporting the Accounts Supervisor, you will help ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time, protecting strong working relationships and ensuring continuity of services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy and commercial awareness.&nbsp; The key responsibilities of the role will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Daily maintenance of the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate allocation of cash and a focus on managing older balances<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing the purchase invoice inbox, ensuring invoices are processed promptly and efficiently<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accurately coding all financial entries, including correct VAT treatment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reconciling small carrier payments against the internal Operations (PO) system to validate charges<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensuring all costs are approved and matched to purchase orders in line with company policy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investigating and resolving invoice queries and disputes, working closely with internal departments and suppliers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performing regular supplier statement reconciliations to ensure account accuracy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparing weekly payment runs in line with deadlines and company controls<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reviewing and posting credit card transactions accurately<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting continuous improvement within the purchase ledger function and contributing to wider team objectives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undertaking any finance or purchase ledger environment (desirable), or a willingness to learn<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AAT qualified or studying (desirable)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in a high-volume transactional environment (desirable)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good Excel skills and confidence using financial systems (NetSuite advantageous)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving ability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Positive, reliable and proactive approach to work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong team player with the ability to also work independently<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good communication skills and ability to build relationships internally and externally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Job Application Requirements
