As we look towards the future, we\u2019re dedicated to ensuring that each new facility we bring on-stream is run as sustainably as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means kitting out our new facilities with eco-friendly features such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Motion-sensitive LED lighting&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electric machinery such as forklifts and lift platforms&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Energy-efficient heating and ventilation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electric vehicle charging stations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solar panels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plentiful skylights to maximise natural light<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rainwater harvesting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is with a view to attaining an EPC rating of \u2018A\u2019, as well as a BREEAM rating of \u2018Excellent\u2019 or &#8216;Outstanding&#8217; for our newest facilities. We don\u2019t just want to achieve the bare minimum; we\u2019re dedicated to operating as efficiently as possible, giving our clients peace of mind that their fulfilment partner shares their vision for a more sustainable future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, we opened two new sustainable fulfilment centres in the UK and EU. The first in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.international-logistics-group.com\/uk-en\/insights\/ilg-expands-sustainable-fulfilment-capability-in-the-eu-115278\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Poland<\/a> and the second in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.international-logistics-group.com\/uk-en\/insights\/ilg-brackmills-2-opening-soon-97438\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Northampton<\/a>, transitioning to these highly sustainable warehouses is a crucial part of our shift to Net-Zero by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Sustainable Partnerships<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to fitting our warehouses with facilities that run more sustainably and leveraging renewable energy, we\u2019re also committed to partnerships with green energy suppliers and other service providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve switched to Green Electricity and Green Gas suppliers to reduce our carbon footprint and energy consumption, and wherever possible we choose to work with partners that share our dedication to \u2018going green\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Driving Change Through Education and Engagement<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"partner\">Running a number of initiatives and awareness months such as &#8216;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.international-logistics-group.com\/uk-en\/insights\/sustainable-september-at-ilg-7915\/\">Sustainable September<\/a><\/strong>&#8216; promotes understanding of sustainability issues and embeds greener practices across our facilities.
