Helping Our Communities

We believe in giving back to our local communities, places where so many ILG staff live or grew up. As well as charity fundraising, we provide employment opportunities for disadvantaged young people and those with learning challenges.

In 2026-2027, we are supporting Chestnut Tree House – a children’s charity providing hospice care services and community support for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. Thanks to support from the local community, children and families who know they don’t have long together have the chance to live life to the full and say goodbye in the way that is right for them.

In 2021 we offered 27 local unemployed young people job placements across our warehouse facilities as part of the DWP’s Kickstart Scheme. ILG gave each Kickstarter six months of guaranteed paid work, tailored training and help with CV writing, job searching tips and interview techniques.
