Location: Burgess Hill

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum, depending on experience

The role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role has full responsibility of the Purchase Order system which precludes all invoices and is pivotal to invoice and cost management internally.

The key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Daily monitoring of exception queues
  • Accurate recognition of cost and liability
  • Resolution of queries and disputes in a timely manner
  • Providing support to the Management Accountant & Finance Manager with month end and year end reporting requirement
  • Producing KPIs to aid the monitoring of departmental targets
  • Liaising with suppliers and ILG departments to set up new suppliers

What we are looking for

  • Studying towards an AAT qualification or qualified AAT
  • Understanding of the purchase order process and the importance of cost control
  • Experience of taking ownership of and resoving supplier queries in a timely manner
  • Understanding the purpose of the purchase ledger control account
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Proven ability to work to tight reporting deadlines and effectively manage own workload
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally
