Why did you join ILG?

I first started working at ILG through an agency as I was looking for a job at the time – it’s now 7 years later and I’m still here. This is because I enjoyed the job, got on with the team and realised that I can progress here.

Talk us through you career journey at ILG.

As mentioned, I first started here as agency staff, and after my first 3 days at ILG, I was offered a contract, and as I was already looking for a job, and seemed to get on well at ILG already, I took the job and started my contract after 3 months with the agency.  I worked on e-comm to start with, then moved over to wholesale, where I stayed for the rest of my time as a warehouse assistant.

18 months later, I was then promoted to Contract Coordinator on wholesale.  As a Contract Coordinator, I coordinated the team and all the wholesale orders in the warehouse.

2 years later an opportunity arose when a Section Manager vacancy opened in the re-work department, so I applied and was successful.  I worked as a Section Manager on re-work for 2.5 years.  By this time, I felt I had learnt all that I could from the operational side of the business and wanted a change, so I applied for a position within the Delivery Team. 

10 months later ILG opened a new warehouse in Poland, and a customer service vacancy opened for a Polish speaking Executive for our biggest customer, which I applied for and was successful – I am now a Fulfilment Customer Service Executive.

What does your job involve?

I am the first point of contact for our customers, I resolve their queries, deal with any urgent requests and make sure we meet their expectations.  I am also the first point of contact for our warehouse team, replying to their questions and helping them to achieve our customers’ requests. We all work together every day to make sure we provide great service to our customers.

What training and development opportunities have you had at ILG?

I have been in the company for many years, moving around various departments and positions, so I have learnt, developed and have taken many opportunities when they arose.

What do you like about working at ILG?
