Continuous Improvement Manager

Overview:

Location: Brackmills 2

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience

The role

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to help drive ILG’s commitment to operational excellence and innovation. You will play a key role in reviewing current processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing changes that deliver measurable benefits for both our clients and the business.

Working across multiple teams and sites, you will use your expertise to design and implement solutions, optimise warehouse operations, and embed a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring ILG remains at the forefront of our industry.

The key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Reviewing and documenting operational processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and measurable cost savings
  • Conducting detailed data analysis to identify efficiency and productivity opportunities
  • Measuring and tracking return on investment for all improvements, with follow-up audits to ensure benefits are realised
  • Coordinating and supporting warehouse design, layout, and optimisation projects, including equipment and storage solutions
  • Working closely with Commercial and IT teams to assess client-driven changes and system developments, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose
  • Driving process improvements and system enhancements in partnership with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Supporting the development of IT and reporting tools to improve operational performance
  • Promoting best practice, standardisation and quality assessments across all sites, and coaching managers to embed these practices
  • Embedding a Kaizen/5S culture and continuous improvement mindset across the business
  • Staying ahead of CI trends within the industry and sharing insight to maintain ILG’s competitive advantage

What we are looking for

  • Proven Continuous Improvement background, with experience of delivering projects from creation through to completion
  • Strong track record of delivering quantifiable business impact (cost savings, productivity improvements, process change)
  • Excellent communication skills, able to influence and inspire confidence at all levels
  • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to confidently report progress to stakeholders
  • Good operational knowledge, ideally with experience in 3PL or industries ILG serves (desirable)
  • Experience of quality assessments, Kaizen, 5S, Lean Management or Prince 2 methodologies (desirable)
  • Experience working with Continuous Improvement software platforms (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
